Telex began as the dream of Rafael Roden, who was tired of being sold sub-par electronics that were designed to become obsolete or fail after a year or two. They saw there was a huge lack of functional elegance missing from tech. Who else better to design a phone, laptop or smartwatch than a perfectionist with a sense of timeless style and experience using every major brand's high end products?
The capitalistic society of convenience built upon the labor and suffering of others has impeded a free market of competition in the fastest growing industries such as Technology. Here lies Telex's mission: widen the variety of premium products while aiding the inclusion of Black and Brown people in the tech industry. With these goals in mind we hope to push the technological landscape further, faster. We also plan to help put an end to child/slave labor in rare earth metal mines across Africa. Society cannot afford to ignore this issue any longer while we buy the shiny new devices this cruelty produces.
